Born in Warwick and educated first at St Mary's Primary School, Warwick then All Hallows, Brisbane where she passed the Junior Examination. Worked in the Department of Forestry in Brisbane and Warwick before joining the Missionary Sisters of Service in Hobart (1962). Involved in parish ministry in various states of Australia and since February 1999 has been pastoral leader of the Catholic Parish in Jandowae until she retired on 1st May 2011, and moved to Toowoomba.
