Minutes Of Meeting Held On 2/7/2016

Present: Peter Ireland, Ian & Heather Gall, Jan Bickerton, Beryl King, Margaret Atkinson, Beryl McKenna, Evelyn Nauschutz

Apologies: Ros Balston, Doreen Beard

Peter welcomed all present to the meeting.

Minutes: The minutes of the previous general meeting were read by Heather. Margaret moved that the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded Jan. Heather thanked Margaret for taking the minutes.

Business Arising:

• The ecumenical church service for Timbertown was well attended and enjoyed by all present.

Correspondence:

Inwards: Jandowae Business Group (re sign to be collected ), Sandra Schmidt ( Vince Scouller's photos)

Outwards — Nil.

Heather moved that the inwards be received and the outwards be endorsed. Seconded Beryl King.

Treasurer's Report: The Cr. Balance is $24,382 and the Term Deposit $10,422.32. The following accounts were paid — Peter for TV, varnish and videos $459.49, Cracker for ABC Chart $528, George Sturgess for videos $120. Income — Australia Day WDRC $385, Timbertown video sales and donations $49.20, Donations to cottage $5.45.
Margaret moved the adoption of her report, Seconded Beryl McKenna.

General Business:

• Peter is sorting out the photos on Vince's memory stick that Sandra Schmidt has sent to us. There are quite a few of houses that are relevant to our town's history and these need cataloguing. Peter is in the process of transferring these to his computer for classification.
• Geoff Sullivan has an old wool press and we will store it in the quarters after our garden shed is built.
• Jason Cook is to ring re. the sign to be placed at the entrance to town.
• We have not heard from Craig Tunley re. the rocks on the north bank.
• Peter rang Janet Baldock at Burra Burri and spoke to the office staff and they are interested in bringing their students to spend time in the old school.
• The ABC chart needs weights on the bottom for it to hang correctly.
• Peter will see Brett Zeller re. the erection of the sign on the north side of town and the relocation of the flag pole.
• Screws are needed for the roof on Athlone cottage.
• Margaret is to ring Ron Woods to ask him to undertake some small repairs on Athlone cottage.
