Workplace Health and Safety Act

Any exhibitor intending to bring electrical equipment to the Show Grounds will be required to ensure that such equipment is fitted with earth leakage circuit breakers and that all leads, tools and appliances have been inspected and tagged by a licensed contractor. This is essential for the safety of all exhibitors and the general public and is a requirement of the Workplace Health and Safety Act of 1995. The Act imposes very severe penalties in the event of non-compliance with it's provisions.

Any exhibitors who do not comply will not be allowed to exhibit at Jandowae Show. Exhibitors should check all electrical equipment and leads before coming to the Show Grounds to avoid the occurrence of any difficulties.

All competitors and exhibitors are subject to the regulations and by-laws of the Jandowae and District Show Society Inc., which is affiliated with the Queensland Chamber of Agricultural Societies, and full particulars maybe obtained on application to the secretary.

In the event of a protest, such protest shall be lodged, in writing, within half an hour of the event, with the secretary. $10.00 to accompany the protest, which will be refunded if the protest is upheld.

Timetable for lodging exhibits with Stewards: is stated at the beginning of each section. Exhibits must be in the hands of the Stewards at the times specified in the schedule, to enable judging to commence at the time advertised. Failure to do so will mean exclusion from judging.

EXHIBITS MUST NOT BE REMOVED FROM THE PAVILION BEFORE 6PM ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW.

Should the exhibitor be unable to attend at this time, all care and attention will be given in returning same to the exhibitor.
