Bell Show ARREST
On Saturday 4th March, 2017 at about 11.40pm Sgt AVENT and S/C HORN were approached by a female at the Bell show who reported a DV incident. The alleged offender was located and on being detained resisted violently resulting in both Police Officers and security Ray BROOKS struggling with the male. He was sprayed with capsicum spray and over powered. The offender was transported by Police to the Dalby Watch-House. On lodging the offender in the cells he was given a RBT reading 0.199%. A liquor breach report has been submitted to Liquor Licensing in relation to Bell show committee members not complying with RSA. The offender was fined $400 by the Magistrate and a Temp Protection Order issued.

Intoxicated Person
On Tuesday 14th March, 2017 at about 5.45pm Jandowae Police were called to a Traffic crash on the Jandowae Connection Rd near the Qld Pork Freighters. On arrival Police observed a number of community members directing traffic as a 2002 Bronze Toyota Land cruiser ute was turned onto it's side and driver decamped. A search located the male driver hiding nearby. He was given a roadside breath test which showed he was over 0.05%. He was arrested and transported to Dalby Police Station, when breathalysed his reading was 0.174%. The driver was charged and convicted at Dalby M.C. fine $1200 and disqualified from driving for 10 months.

Burglaries
Between the hours of midnight Sunday 5/3/2017 and 0800 hrs Mon 6/3/2017 4 Jandowae businesses and 2 Chinchilla businesses were visited by 2 offenders. The Jandowae Butcher shop and the accountant's office were entered with cash and property stolen, the offender/s also tried to gain entry to the news agency and pharmacy without success. Both offenders were caught on CCTV footage at Morrissey's sheet-metal and Arthur's cafe.

In the early hours of Monday morning both offenders were again caught on CCTV footage committing Burglaries in Chinchilla. Two suspects have been nominated by Detectives from Dalby CIB and investigations are continuing. Both suspects are believed not to be local to Jandowae.

Staffing
Senior Constable ELLIS is still relieving at Dalby Police Station and a relieving officer will not be provided to Jandowae. Craig is the preferred applicant for a Position in Dalby and will transfer in the next few months; Corinna and I look forward to welcoming Craig's replacement, with any family, later in the year.
