Illegally Dumped Tyres
On Sat 2nd June - Sun 3rd June 2018 offender/s have dumped approx. 300 truck tyres in bushland adjacent to the parking bay on Chinchilla Wondai Rd & Jandowae Connection Rd intersection, Jandowae. Investigations are being conducted at present & CCTV footage is being viewed. Initial investigations reveal 2 trucks were involved in illegally dumping the tyres. Police have received excellent information from community members and close to identifying the offender/s involved.

Dog Attack
On Tuesday 5th June 2018 at about 09.00am Police were called to Jimbour St, Jandowae in relation to a pigging dog at large behaving aggressively. On arrival the dog was seen with a large chain around its neck, the dog attempted to bite the Police Officer as he alighted from the Police vehicle. Inquiries reveal the dog had already bitten a male person prior to Police arrival. Police had concerns for public safety and in consultation with WDRC Animal Control the dog was put down by Police. This incident is very upsetting for local Police Officers as we are dog lovers however safety of this community will always come first. The dog was removed from the scene by council & the owner immediately notified.

Police ask all dog owners to be responsible and keep their dogs in their yards at all times, fines for unregistered dogs or dogs at large are expensive & you could be sued civilly, be responsible for vet bills or charged if your pet bites another dog or injures an adult or child.

Liquor Accord
On Wednesday 23/5/2018 the Jandowae Liquor Accord group met at Exchange Hotel. A male contract worker has been barred for 3 months from all licensed establishments in the Jandowae Police Division as a result of an unprovoked assault. AGL Windfarm management advise this particular person is not welcome back on the Windfarm project at Cooranga Nth & will not be back working or residing in Jandowae.

Thank you to Rooster & Julia for hosting the meeting & providing a great morning tea.

Blue Light Disco
On Friday 1/6/2018 Police and Jandowae State School ran a Blue Light Disco at the Memorial Hall, there were over 120 students in attendance at both junior & senior discos. We would like to thank Rick & Leah at Jandowae newsagency for donating prizes for the kids & the PRESTON family at Jandowae cafe for donating pizzas on the night. We have also received great news that the Jandowae Lions Club is considering purchasing new Blue light equipment being a Hi Fi system & laser lights which is fantastic.

Thank you to the Paramedics, teachers, Fire Officer Jeremy, parents & volunteers for giving up their time and assisting Police and teachers in developing our local youth.

Timbertown Weekend
Police were very happy with the behaviour of all community members & visitors at the Jandowae Bi-annual Timbertown event, the hard work & planning of the committee paid off with thousands of people in Jandowae for the weekend. I am very pleased to advise there were no arrests made over the 3 day event.
