Break And Enter
On 30th October, 2017 2 offenders broke into the Darr Creek Service Station by smashing in the glass window with a golf club, the 2 offenders were captured on CCTV footage and disguised their faces with hoods. The offender/s stole a small amount of cash, cigarettes and other items. The golf club used to smash the window was left behind and a DNA sample taken by Police. THE DNA sample has been analysed and a 20 year old male suspect from Chinchilla has been nominated as one of the offender/s involved. This particular person is currently in prison at Wacol in relation to other charges.
Armed As To Cause Fear
On 20th November, 2017 a 29 year old male offender was intoxicated and abusing his relatives and neighbours. He armed himself with a tomahawk and threatened to kill the neighbours dogs if they didn't stop barking. Jandowae Police attended and arrested the male, charged him and objected to his Bail. He was sentenced to 4 months imprisonment.
Drug Raid
On 10th January, 2018 a search warrant was executed in Stewart St, Jandowae. A quantity of drugs and utensils were located. A 27 year old male was arrested and charged. He has been sentenced to 5 months imprisonment.
Traffic
Jandowae Police are targeting vehicles with bald/unroadworthy tyres, we are fortunate that we can have tyres fitted at Wayne's tyre shop next to Spar supermarket and at QPF (QLD Pork Freighters).
Community Policing
We are currently in the process of organising a Blue Light Disco for local youth on Friday 23/3/2018 at the Memorial Hall the night before the Jandowae show. We are also holding a Liquor Accord meeting on Wed 14/2 with all licensees/Publicans.
Staffing
Senior Constable David HOLMES-BROWN commenced duty at Jandowae on 26th September, 2017. David & his family have fit in well at Jandowae. We are finally at full strength with 2 sworn staff & our Admin Officer Corinna for 15 hrs per week.
