It is true that the Foreign Office was still able to play a certain role in the early years of the Third Reich, though here (as in all attempts at collaboration with the new regime) the question needs to be raised whether this was not just the result of a tactical consideration of Hitler's with which he earned credit that was later repaid in the currency of pure illusion.
