Note by a military aide (Schmundt?) on Hitler's speech of 22nd August 1939, to the commanders of the Wehrmacht, quoted by Freund, 'Geschichte des Zweiten Weltkrieges, Vol III. A similar note in Halder's 'Kriegstagebuch, Vol I, about one of Hitler s speeches:

'Fuhrer's worried that at the last moment England will make the final proceeding more difficult for him through an offer.'
