9. GENERAL BUSINESS
9.1 Betty Wassell presented a hand painted circular saw blade to the meeting. Depicting a horse drawn wagon loaded with logs it was painted by her friend Nita Keys. Resolved to raffle this item with tickets to be sold at $1.00ea. and to be drawn in time for Fathers Day.
9.2 The coming Timbertown Festival was discussed at length. Jan Bickerton is to draw up a roster for the Saturday opening of the cottage. On the Sunday tea/coffee and biscuits will be sold from the verandah at $3.00. Tables and chairs will be placed on the lawn but the gazebo will not be erected. Plants will be available for sale. A sign is to be placed on the Shearers Quarters advising of its restoration and opening date.
9.3 Vince Scouller advised of a request from Jobsearch, Dalby, who was seeking work for a female person on the work for the dole scheme. They were advised that we could not assist.
10. CLOSE—As there was no further business the Chairman closed the meeting at 8.25.pm.
