Minutes Of Meeting Held On 11/8/2014

Peter welcomed those present to the meeting and thanked the members for coming.

Present: Peter Ireland, Heather Gall, Ian Gall, Beryl King, Doreen Beard , Sally Maunder

Apologies: Ruth, Ros, Jan and Margaret

Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Heather. The minutes were moved by Ian, Seconded Beryl.

Business arising:

• Margaret and Heather sent the letter to the Council re: the super dump

Correspondence : Heather moved that the inwards be received and the outwards endorsed. Seconded Doreen.

Inwards — Office of Fair Trading, Lyn Taylor (Trumpeter's Corner Picnic shelter and table), Carolyn Fisher re: $600 bond.

Outwards — Ken Brownhall thank you for loan of car trailer, Letter of Support for Friends of Trumpeter's Corner Committee.

Treasure's Report (Peter presented Ruth's report. ) The total balance on hand is $43,778.43. Sally moved the Treasurer's Report. Seconded Peter. A new of investment of $20,000 was made.

Income — Matthew Henning $50, Sale of DVD's $50.

Expenditure — Hardware $8.20, Fixed Depost $20,000, Toowoomba Recycled Timber $504, Jandowae 5 Star $7.75 — total $20,519.95.

The balance of the Cash book is $7,731.66. Fixed deposits — $36,046.77.

General Business:

• John Schrag has agreed to assist us to move the Creamery.
• The Caravan Club Visit from Brisbane was well attended. Thanks to all the helpers and Jan for the organisation for the Morning Tea.
• Heather will contact Allison Banks re. the drainage.
• The Council advertisement requested that organisations from the old Wambo Shire apply to host the official Australia Day Breakfast. We will have our normal Australia Day Breakfast as we hosted 2 years ago. Lennie Veivers is keen to renovate the old school. He will give us an estimate. He hopes to start before the end of September.
• Russell Hill and Peter Butterfield are going to take the batons from the back verandah , the windows from the main building and the tongue and groove boards from the inside wall.
• Peter has fixed the doors at Athlone. Peter moved that we buy a cheap DVD player. Ian Seconded.
• Ian to supply the base for the creamery. Ian Wassell is to be asked for large boards. Peter wrote an article on our school project for the Jandowae Magazine.

The next meeting will be the AGM to be held on Monday 8th September at 7pm. Tony Brame will be asked to chair the meeting.
