Minutes Of Meeting Held On 12/11/2016

Present: Peter & Grace Ireland, Ian & Heather Gall, Margaret Atkinson, Beryl McKenna, Evelyn Nauschutz, Beryl King, Geoff Sullivan

Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Heather. Ian moved that the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded Beryl King.

Correspondence:

Inwards: Western Downs Regional Council (Letter of support for shed), WDRC (host Australia Day), WDRC(no official Australia Day Breakfast), WDRC (Building Certifier for shed), WDRC Tourism Investment Project Acquittal Form, WDRC (Minor Grant $5,000 for shed), Insurance Advisernet (Cancellation Insurance), John Burkhardt (new contents and public liability policy), Mavis Hoskin (thank you card)

Outwards — Western Downs Regional Council, Insurance Advisernet, John Burkhardt, 100th Birthday Card to Mavis Hoskin.

Heather moved that the inwards be received and the outwards be endorsed. Seconded Beryl King.

Treasurer's Report: Income from donations $57, Video $10, WDRC Landscaping grant $6050.Expenditure — WDRC Permit $375, Insurance $1012.63, Zellers $892, Foztrax $5,584.70. Cr. Balance of $24,407.91.
Fixed Deposit $10,539.90.
Margaret moved the adoption of her report, Seconded Beryl McKenna.

General Business:

• Ian is to locate Celie's old book and the ribbon from the opening of the railway.
• Heather has ordered the garden shed from Titan. Len Veivers will do the concrete work required. Ron Wood will stand the shed.
• Len Veivers will erect the ramp in the near future.
• Meetings are to be held on the second Saturday of the month at 9.30am at the old school.
• The Australia Day Breakfast will commence at 8am
• The ANZ bank closes on Wednesday 16th. Banking will be deposited at the Post office.
• K Walton Dalby offered old photo frames with photos of Clifford and Joyce Barber who were former residents of the town. Peter will accept the frames.
• Peter is still sorting Vince's phots
• Memberships of $5 per family are now due.
• The keys are to be named. Grace suggested we use the edger.
• Men from Ningana enjoyed their visit to the precinct.
• Ron Wood is to attend to many of the small jobs: roof screwed, step in shearer's quarters, broken window cottage etc
• More sprinklers are needed.
• Malcolm Wunsch will be asked to shift the dirt from the rocks.
• Thank you to be sent to Rebecca for allowing us to put the sign in her paddock.
• The magistrates chair is now available.
• Morning Tea was enjoyed by all present.
