Minutes Of Meeting Held On 16/01/2015

Peter welcomed those present to the meeting and thanked the members for their attendance.

Present: Peter Ireland, Heather Gall, Ian Gall, Jan Bickerton, Doreen Beard, Margaret Atkinson, Beryl King, Beryl McKenna, Evelyn Nauschutz, Sally Maunder

Apologies: Ros Balston, Betty Wassell

Minutes: The minutes of the previous general meeting were read by Heather. Margaret moved that the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded Jan.

Correspondence: Heather moved that the inwards correspondence be received and the outwards endorsed.

Inwards — Western Downs Regional Council re. Public Liability Insurance, Australia Day Event (Ambassador Marayke Jonkers), Community Grants Program, Graham Cook & Brian Harris re.ramp),Gambling Community Benefit Fund (2). Jandowae Bowls Club, ACMA (wireless microphones)

Outwards — thank you to Margaret Lynch, Lady Bowls Club

Treasurer's Report: The Cr. Balance is $2484.03 and the Investments are $31,183.53. Income-Donations $102, $2Subcription, $583 Insurance Rebate. Payments — $19.90 Peter for key. Margaret moved this report for adoption and seconded by Ian.

General Business:

• Rick Hogarth would like to hold a music session at the heritage precinct. The members were happy for this to occur as long as we don't have to organise it.
• Allison Banks is looking into the drainage as part of the In Kind Assistance grant. She suggested bubblers.
• Jan reported on the arrangements for Australia Day. Sally & Betty to sell drinks (20 lemonade and 20 squash, 36 poppers). Sally will collect the drinks. Betty is to provide their shade. Peter and Grace purchased plates and serviettes from Spotlight. Shades to be obtained from Morrisseys and Shane McKenna. Lollies to be used for prizes. A working bee to clean the buildings and chairs will be held on Sunday 25th.
• Scones to be provided by Beryl McKenna, Evelyn, Darcy, Doreen, Betty, Grace. Rob Brazier is providing the music.
• The program will be as follows — Breakfast 7.30, Music 8, Official ceremony 8.30 and music 9. Peter and Councillor Tony Brame will MC the proceedings.
• We need to check that there is adequate shade for the speakers and the musicians.
• George Hoath is to be employed to whipper snip about the rocks on our creek bank. Peter thanked the members for their attendance.

A barbeque was enjoyed by all present. Next Meeting 9/2/2015
