Minutes Of Meeting Held On Saturday 13/12/2014

Peter welcomed those present to the meeting and thanked the members for their attendance.

Present: Peter Ireland, Heather Gall, Ian Gall, Jan Bickerton, Doreen Beard, Margaret Atkinson, Beryl King, Beryl McKenna, Evelyn Nauschutz

Apologies: Ros Balston

Minutes: The minutes of the previous general meeting were read by Heather. Doreen moved that the minutes be accepted as read. Seconded Beryl K.

Business Arising: All the windows are now in place. The school recently visited the heritage complex. Peter will send in a write up for the paper.

Correspondence: Heather moved that the inwards correspondence be received and the outwards endorsed.

Inwards — Western Downs Regional Council re. Buildings Insurance and In Kind Assistance grant, Public Liability Insurance, Graham re. ramp), Community Benefit Funds Unit.

Outwards — Nil

Treasurer's Report: The Cr. Balance is $1851.93 and the Investments are $20,151.23. Income $85 and $50 from the 'Unpickers' at the Craft Club. Payments — Jandowae Hardware $30.10 and $27.50, Lennie $7,500, Creative Timbers $857.04, Windows $2158.20, Jandowae 5 Star $12.93. Margaret moved this report for adoption and seconded by Jan.

General Business:

• Ian moved and Jan seconded that our Association has no objection to moving the Information Centre to our complex. We are not interested in supporting the relocation of the Hawton Railwlay Cottage to the Lions Park. Peter will check the slot machine at the hotel.
• Val Baker has donated an old wash board.
• We are hosting the official Australia Day Breakfast on Monday 26th January at 7.30am and the ambassador will be present. 350 Sausages, 10 loaves bread and 15 dozen eggs are to be ordered in January. Plates and knives and will be purchased from the Reject shop. Serviettes to be purchased. Sally and Betty are to be asked to sell drinks. Chairs and tables will need to be washed. Novelty events are to be organised. Scones to be made. Evelyn said she will supply the syrup. Beryl McKenna, Doreen, Betty & Grace will supply scones. Peter will provide a small fridge. Rob Brazier will be asked to provide the music. The mike is from the library. Shades from Morrisseys, Shane McKenna and the Lions Club. School to do the flag raising and David to organise the fishing. Best Australia Hat Competition is to be held. The sign is to be erected.

The next meeting will be held on Friday 16th at 5.30pm and will be followed by a Barbeque.
