Minutes Of Meeting Held On 10/02/2014

Present: Peter Ireland, Ian & Heather Gall, Jan Bickerton, Ruth Sargent, Beryl King, Margaret Atkinson

Apologies: Betty Wassell, Doreen Beard, Ros Balston

Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Heather. Jan moved and Margaret seconded that the minutes be accepted as read.

Business arising: Peter has had the old mower repaired in Toowoomba and it is back today. We have received from the Council our Public Liability Insurance refund. Peter thanked Margaret for her work in completing the Environmental Grant.

Rod Dolly is preparing his quote for painting the outside of the old school. We should receive the $600 refund from the Council for leaving the site clean in William Street. Wayne Ellis has donated an old desk. Rick is working on the Marnhull sign. Peter has put a sign up at the Showgrounds re: viewing the heritage precinct.

Correspondence : Heather moved that the inwards be received and the outwards endorsed. Seconded Ian.

Inwards — Fiona Henderson (grants), J.J. Richards, Mandall family, Western Downs Council Sponsorship Application Form

Outwards — Western Downs Council re: the rocks and a request for $200 for our Australia Day Breakfast, Thank you to the Jandowae Music Group.

Treasure's Report: Ruth presented and moved her report for adoption. The Cr. Balance was $5992.59. Income - $540.45 (Australia Day Breakfast $398.65) and Expenditure - Jan $33,5 Star $100.25,Hardware $70.75, Mower $270.38. Nelson Meats $113.70.

General Business:

• The Ramp — Quotes are to be obtained from Ron Woods and Hughes. Peter would like the ramp to turn at the corner of the school.
• The Australia Day Breakfast was very successful and it was suggested that we start at 7.30am next year.
• A thank you note is to be sent to Michael Wood for the underground work he performed enabling us to relocate the old school.
• A thank you note is to be sent to Charlene for her attendance on Australia Day and for her help in obtaining the refund of our building fees.
• Ian will attend to the mowing in Peter's absence.
• Peter rang John Brazier and he is looking for suitable furnishings for the school. Peter was commended on the excellent article he wrote for the local paper.

The next meeting will be on Monday 10th March at a time to be advised.
