Business Arising:
Peter investigated fixing the mower. $900 for a bare deck and $1,100 for a full deck. No firm decision has been made about which way to go.
Correspondence:Inwards: Get Your Town on the Tourist Map. Philip to investigate. Outwards: Nil Heather moved that the inwards be received. Seconded Beryl Passed
Treasurer's Report:
Balance as per the Bank Statement is $2,955.34. Term Deposit of $11,090.94. Income: Nil. Expenditure:Nelson's for Australia Day $141.31, Rob Brazier for blinds $265.
Margaret moved her report of Income and Expenditure be accepted. Seconded Sally.Passed
General Business:
After Easter Peter will take the wagon wheels to Felton so that they can be restored. Ian will make the stands for the wagon.
The Explore Jandowae brochure which was compiled by the Council was critiqued. Changes to be suggested to the Council.
Signs similar to the new one on the German Wagon are to be compiled for the Shearer's Quarters, the First School, the Comet D Windmill and the Wood Trough.
Heather suggested we need to recognize the former buildings on our heritage site as well — the oven and old shops.
Jan showed the daughter of Eva Hoskins and her husband Alan Schulke through the cottage. They will send photos. Mavis Hoskins 103 is still alive in Hervey Bay.
The wire on a picture in the Shearer's Quarters needs fixing.
The Council Pest man has fumigated all our buildings.
Big Skies — The precinct will be opened on Friday 3rd May by Beryl, Jan and Peter from 10am to 12 noon. Peter has let the cafes and hotels know to expect an influx of visitors on that day.
Peter will check that Lillian has the relevant sign at the Show Ground.
