Minutes Of Meeting Held On 13/6/20

Peter welcomed all present to the meeting and thanked the members for their attendance.

Previous Minutes: The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Heather. Margaret moved and Beryl K seconded that the minutes be accepted as read. Carried

Business Arising:

• Ron Woods has fixed the paving, repaired boards on the cottage and put extra nails in the platform on the creek.
• The old wagon has now been completely restored. Thanks to Don Blinco for funding the restoration of the old wagon wheels.

Correspondence: Inwards: WDRC Infrastructure Grants Program, (Heather is to apply for a grant for a new lawn mower),WDRC Community Billboards in Dalby & Chinchilla, Insuring the Product (John Burkhardt re. Gary Grant working in the garden several hours a week), Quote for painting repairs from PHM Painting
Outwards: Thank you to be sent to Graham Bickerton for making the display cabinet.
Heather moved that the inwards be received and the outwards be endorsed, seconded by Beryl K. Carried

Treasurer's Report: The Balance as per the Bank Statement was $1,714.22 Term Deposit of $11,283.58. Income — Nil
Expenditure — Motor & Tractor Service $96, Peter (petrol) $31, Cleaning and Catering $158.85, Peter (diesel) $56.49, Ron Woods $156.50 (maintenance)
Total $498.84.
Margaret moved her report of Income and Expenditure be accepted, seconded by Ian Gall.Carried

General Business:

• A working bee will be held in the near future to erect the display cabinet in the school. A blind may be necessary to protect the work inside.
• The wagon wheels have been completed and the wagon is looking very smart with the new paint work. Peter & Ian are to stop the birds from sheltering under the structure as they leave droppings on the wagon
• A quote for $1,100 was received from PHM Painting (Paul Morrison) to paint the handrails, front steps and posts of the school building. Heather is to apply to WDRC Smarty Grants for a grant for same.
• John Alexander informed our Committee that the River Trust is doing earth works to desilt the creek upstream from the cottage and it should not affect the precinct.
• The athol pine tree is dying.
• The precinct will only be opened by appointment during the Covid 19 restrictions.

Next Meeting: will be held on 11th July at 9am.
